Noah's Ark

Hello there!

This is a sample I recently worked on for a publisher. They decided at the end they wanted to go with an entirely different style for the book.

This is ok and it happens all the time in this business so if you are just starting out and this happens to you, now worries... Don't take it personally. Time to move on to the next project! :o)

Plus there is also a good side to things, you are left with a new portfolio piece. Hee! ;o)

I'm always intrigued when a publisher goes with another type of art style other than something that's so obviously brilliant - always want to see what they've chosen instead. Lovely lovely work Alicia.

Thanks for posting this, very true, It's cheered me up to hear someone else say it.
I've just had three in a row of these, which does get you down a bit.
But you're right that you mustn't take it personally.
They wouldn't ask you for a sample if they didn't like your work.
I've used all of mine in my portfolio as well :)
