New Year's Resolution

With a new baby due in just 5 weeks, I'm not too confident about making ANY New Year's resolutions this year - but better to have a resolution to try and live up to, right?

I'd like to be more calendar-conscious for 2009. I often set goals that I don't reach by not reviewing the calendar more frequently to keep myself on target. Sometimes life just gets in the way, but without looking at the big picture more often, I quickly forget just how off-track I've gotten. Perhaps having a non-digital calendar would help? Does anyone else use a big calendar on the wall anymore? Any recommendations from other more organized illustrators out there?

5 weeks!?? Oh my... that is soon Gina! How exciting for you guys. Enjoy every moment of this. The most magical thing in life! :o)

About the calendar, I think that is a good idea. Anything that keeps us organized and working is great! I need to keep a calendar up as well. So I can't give you recommendations on this but I guess what ever works out for you is the best one. Maybe try a big one for starters and see how it goes.

Time is flying!
As far as calendars, I used a non digital calendar all the time. I have a dry erase board calendar that hangs by my desk and I also have a traditional calendar next to it...and a daily calendar some years. =o) Not because I'm organized, more because I love the collecting them and often get a couple for Christmas gifts. =o)

Congrats on the upcoming baby!
I used to have an agenda with me at all times so I could always write thing down at any moment, like when I'm trying to set up my next doctors appointment and I'm trying to make sure it doesn't interfere with ky kid's schedule.
I have now upgraded to a digital one, via the iphone which I then synchronize with my computer and then print a 'month' view once a week or so and put up up on the wall. I can never have enough reminders about what's going on!

Good Luck!
