"leafing" Las Vegas

Last week my family and I journeyed from Las Vegas to our new home in Illinois. We were stunned by the gorgeous array of autumn leaves as we drove in to town. Coming from the desert it was like eye candy. This will be our home for 2 -3 years (We're a military family) and I think we will enjoy it very much...as long as we can survive the winters. ;o)

Hi Roz. Glad to hear your family arrived safe & sound. Sounds like you had a great welcoming committe from all the beautiful fall leaves. (Such a cute little leaf family!!) I'm originally from Michigan, and I really, really miss those fall colors. Soak them all in! Maybe you're far enough south in Illinois that the winters won't be as gloomy as I remember them to be. :)

Oh my gosh - too cute! What a lovely time of year to make a move too - I adore fall. And doesn't everyone love snow at Christmastime? I would guess 2-3 years isn't long enough for the novelty of the falls and winters to wear off, especially for your kids.

Thanks so much, it was fun doing something fun with the leaves I gathered.
Yes, I'm hoping it's not as cold since we are South as well. A white christmas would be a novelty for sure so i'm hoping that happens!
