This is so beautiful Gina! I agree with Laura, those colors are gorgeous. I love his expression and the little swirls and leaves on top of that beautiful watercolor background. Or is very thinned gouache? Not sure, but it is beautiful :o)
Thanks ladies - I had fun playing with this yesterday. It's very thin gouache in the background (and the kosher salt trick for the starburst-y spots), something I'd like to try to do more of.
