Everyone's a critic

Cowboy boots? With that dress? Where are your Mary Janes?

Listen politely. Mull it over. Then follow your heart.

I learned to appreciate critiques in art school. At first, it was
painfully awkward to have a drawing questioned, dissected,
scrutinized, analyzed, and just plain picked apart. Yikes.
But, as the semester wore on, our skills at giving and receiving
constructive comments improved. And so did our artwork.

THis is so beautiful as always! My daughter (age 7) would agree that the boots are a must with a dress like this!

Thanks for the words about school and critiques, I'm going through that now (i'm in perspective drawing right now eegads!)

Your work is one of the most delicate I've seen. I just love that. Little things like the little shinning pearl earring add such a romantic touch. So lovely :o)

Patrice, as always your work is wonderful. I love the texture you get around the edges, especially on the white dress and hair. Such a wonderful character and color palette too.

Thanks so much for the kind words, guys!

Artsymommachic, perspective drawing class- very cool! Have fun! And hugs to your daughter. :)

Alicia, the little earring is my favorite part too. :)

Kristi, texture and color are two things I'm really working on right now.
