potluck

Lately I've been drawing glasses on everyone. Not sure why. Maybe it's because I need a new pair... haha! This little guy is from my latest promotional postcard.

Pot Luck

For this week's theme, I am posting a piece from my work for The Months. It's an end paper piece that was an alternate and is not in the final book. It's full of autumnal crispness!! Enjoy!

Potluck

Last summer I was kept busy with some educational work with Harcourt. One of my favorite Readers was this one about a pet hen named Jess. This assignment had significant meaning to me.

A) It was my first educational book assignment.
B) I got the call on my birthday.
C) "Jess" is my oldest son's name.

The only bummer is that I didn't receive a copy of the final book and have had no luck finding it on their website. Drat.
Here are the illustrations at least...

Weekly Theme: "Potluck"

2007 has been my busiest year yet. Since the books I illustrated won't publish until next year or after, I don't have much to show for all this work. Except for this cover! It recently listed on Amazon, so I feel it's safe to holler about it. It's a book I did for Thomas Nelson, and it comes out in February 2008. Patience is not one of my strengths!

Potluck

My latest book, Ghost Gets Dressed!, is now available.

Best of all, it's got a glow-in-the-dark cover!

WoooOOOooo...

Potluck

I know the theme this week is not specifically meant to be taken literally, but I love the theme of 'luck' and interpreting it in my artwork. I thought today was a good excuse to post my illustration called Lucky Cats! I hope you have a day filled with unexpected, serendipitous luck.

Weekly Theme: "Potluck"

I don't have much to say this week, except, "I Love You Harry". It has been an exceptional ride.

This was my schedule the last few days:

Daytime: Mom
Nighttime: Children's Book Illustrator
Wee Hours of the Morn: Harry Potter reader

I've been sneaking him in whenever I can, and it's been worth every second of missed sleep. I'm going to miss him and this series.
