Look at the little pull out above. What a fantastic and fun way to teach about protecting ourselves from the sun!
From skin and bones, to breathing and digestion; this book has you covered! At the back are these great flipables that my son really loves. Both genders and a few ethnicities are covered so most kids can relate and marvel.
The above spread is my personal favorite. Each spread has several short articles so you can read part, or all, as you and your child wish at each reading. The illustrations are lively and humorous. While this is not a picture book, the marriage between the art and words is so key to this book's success. Kudos to the author, Pascale Hedelin and the illustrator, Robert Barborini.
Just look at this cool shutter-style pull tab page! What a nice way to see themselves as they have been, are now, and will be.

ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring this book! My son is soooo into learning about the human body now. It's so hard to find books about this that explains enough but doesn't get too much over a 4 year old's head. I'm definitely picking this book up :-)

ReplyDeleteYeah for Owl Books. An easy to understand, fun to read book that helps children understand their bodies.
ReplyDeleteThis book is wonderfully illustrated even I, as a mother of two young children would enjoy reading. The charts, pop-ups, and colour are sure to engage young readers. An excellent educational resource and fun, too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool, GIna! Thanks so much for sharing! I've been looking for a book about the human body that was more on my 4 years olds, level. :)
ReplyDeleteThis book looks so cool! My 6 yr old is very interested in how our bodies work, and this looks perfect, plus he'll love the interactive flaps. Since I am a science geek I know I will enjoy it too:)
