What I am working on...

Hi everyone!

Congrats to Kathy on her exciting licensing endeavors. I'm so looking forward to learning more in the coming months about this side of the market. Interesting stuff!

As for me, I'm nearing the finish line on an activity book for Dover Publishing. It is in the same format as my book, "Science Around the House" which I wrote and illustrated last year.
The one I'm working on now is geared around kid friendly recipes that are fun yet healthful. I have enjoyed researching and creating this book especially since I have been focused on better eating in my own life (lost 30 pounds last year). Here is a sneak peak of one of the pages:

Last week I received approval on my pages and now I'm "inking" them in. I should hopefully be finished in about a month and then I really need to put some attention on updating my portfolio. I can't even remember the last time I sent my agent any color work. =o/

I'm itching to "play" and see where that leads. I have "Painter" that I bought last year and it's still sitting in its packaging. There, I said it. ;o)

Happy creating everyone!

Congratulations Roz! On the book and losing the pounds! That looks like it's going to be chock-full of good information.
Best of luck to you finishing and starting the new next thing!

I loved your science around the house book Rozzita!

My kid has been coloring it and she loves all the little details you put it. Such fun books!

I will be on the lookout for this new one of course! Specially since she loves to cook!

Go Rozzita!! :o)

That's really neat, Jack. Hopefully there will be a fun event in the area and we can meet up!

Oh! What a wonderful book idea! I've been the same way over the past year (we're planting a veg garden right now!) and I look forward to your book. I'm sure there will be all kinds of fun things in it for my kids to do. Isn't it great how our other passions make their way into our work?

These are such big projects Roz - I can't wait for your latest. Because I'm excited to see it AND use it! Are you itching to get back to color work? It'll be fun to see what you do with Painter.
