Picnic at Camp Shalom

I illustrated a picture book for Kar-Ben Publishing last year and it has finally hit the bookstores and Amazon. I haven't received my copies yet, but did find this book trailer on the publisher's website. Thought I'd share it with you!

This was such a fun project to work on. Sara and Carly go through so many emotions in this story. They are bunkmates who find they have everything in common until feelings get hurt through a misunderstanding. I particularly enjoyed creating mood with different lighting sources such as the girl's flashlights and the candles on the Shabbat tables.

I'm currently finishing up sketches for my second book with Kar-Ben. This one has a dog in it!

Have a great weekend!

This book turned out so cute Deb!!! You did a fantastic job on it. Those two girls are adorable. And I love your attention to detail on it too.

My copy is shipping as we speak. Or should I say, as I type. ;o) Yay!

I'm buying my copy right now, and ordering a copy for Nate's preschool. I can't wait. I LOVE LOVE the illustrations. What you did with the flashlight illuminating their cute little faces just amazes me.
Congrats!
