In the spotlight- The Raucous Royals !

What is in a rumor? Carlyn Beccia invites us to look more closely at all rumors and consider how the truth can become twisted over time in this one-of-a-kind combination of nonfiction picture book, graphic novel, and tabloid magazine.

Carlyn Beccia is the author/illustrator of ,
Who Put the B in the Ballyhoo, (Houghton Mifflin 2008), and has illustrated the Houdini and Nate Mysteries series along with the cover of Newbery winner, Christopher Paul Curtis's, Elijah of Buxton.

We are so excited here at the PBJ's to be featuring the debut of her new book, The Raucous Royals. Join us this week as we interview Carlyn and learn of her experience bringing this fun and interesting book to life. You won't want to miss it!

And that's not all. Carlyn has kindly offered a signed copy to one of our lucky blog visitors. Simply leave your answer to the following true/false question in the comments section . Those that have answered correctly will be placed in a drawing and the winner will be announced on Friday.

Good luck!

Yes, this is true and one of the things that reinforced the opinion of her accusers that she was a sorceress.

I was just finishing a painting last night (a tight composition of a girl drawing) and my husband teased me by saying - I love it, but she's got 6 fingers! Just like Anne Boleyn??? I'm enjoying reading people's guesses too - I'm staying in the dark so when the answer comes out tomorrow I'll be surprised. :)
