Back to School

Were you one of the kids on the bus? Even though I went to private school, I didn't miss out on riding the school bus and all it's ups and downs - an altogether different learning experience! I'm also sharing my rough initial concept sketches for 'Back to School' - I still like the idea of doing a lunch swap illustration at some point, and also the 'right off the bus' reunion.

I love this piece Gina. Makes me want to really know what they are talking about. Hehehe.. you really captured the feeling of gossiping and passionately talking at that age.

And the little guy playing with the elastic ball is my fav :o)

The bus....boy, that's a mixed bag of memories!
From what I hear from the kids, things haven't changed...including last years big scandal a "pants-ing" by one of the bus bullies. (Pants-ing: v., the act of bringing anothers pants down to the ankles)
