Favorite Toy! (Work-related)

My favorite 'toy' this year has got to be my Wacom Cintiq. It's changed the way I work - I'm now creating completely digital art, and loving the entire process! There is, no doubt, a learning curve with using it - it's big and clumsy at first, and being a lefty, sometimes my hand can get in the way of my screen :) . Once I got my bearings and worked out my own individual system with it, got more accustomed to using it, this is less of an issue. Now, the sky's the limit! I feel I have so much more control over my artwork than I had with my regular Wacom. Regular Wacom's great, but this was a very wise move for me. I used to lament the limitations I encountered, trying to create digital art with my regular Wacom (before the Cintiq). Those hurdles I used to have are gone with the Cintiq. I can do limitless detailed lettering, and detailed, layered, textured painting and line work, and things come out the way I want them to. It's very exciting!!

Hi Sherry!!

It's a Wacom Cintiq 21X. The only size they now make (www.wacom.com). It's basically an easel-like monitor and you draw on it with the pressure-sensitive Wacom pen. It works with both Mac and PC. (I have a Macbook Pro laptop as well but when using the Cintiq, you basically use the screen as your monitor because you're drawing on it).
Please feel free to email me if you have any more questions!!
