Do's & Don'ts

Do have a plan. Make goals for yourself. Whether it's a completed project or set amount of time each week devoted to your freelance career, map out where you want to go.

Do take your goals and break them down into bite-size tasks. Work towards accomplishing them each day.

Do surround yourself with other artists & writers in the field. Join critique groups, go to SCBWI meetings and conferences or just have coffee with a friend who is in the business. You'll grow together.

DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!
