Ruth McNally Barshaw is a children's writer and illustrator. She's the creator of the Ellie McDoodle book series. I love Ruth's work so much (and I'm even in one of the sketchbooks-talk about a thrill!), and it tickles me to no end that she is so successful. Couldn't happen to a nicer/harder working artist. :)
